Hartke Home in Ultimate Home Design
SSC completed the building design analysis, energy analysis, mechanical and plumbing design for this project, which incorporates a geothermal heat pump system for HVAC, including energy recovery ventilators. SSC also designed rainwater collection system to utilize rainwater for irrigation and car washing and provide groundwater recharge and developed a comprehensive construction waste management program for the site. This project is expected to receive a LEED silver rating in the LEED H pilot.
Ross Home in Philadelphia Home and Garden
SSC completed the green design analysis, integrated green design, and managed the construction of this home, which incorporates energy efficient and passive solar design, passive cooling, 5 KW photovoltaic system, ground source heat pump system, vegetated roof, rainwater collection system, recycled and natural materials, and a construction waste recycling program.
