Responsible for leading our Sustainable Buildings and Operations projects which includes LEED certifications for new and existing buildings; Sustainable Operations Assessments in manufacturing facilities, with a focus on optimization; and energy audits focusing on mechanical systems in buildings and operations, to improve and reduce costs and carbon footprint, to meet sustainability goals.
Provide support, technical expertise, direction, and leadership to our client partners in the execution of sustainable buildings and operations projects.
Proven track record in project management for completing projects on-time and on budget.
Ensure client satisfaction by effectively communicating project goals and status updates.
Maintain existing client partnerships, while building and growing new partnerships.
Manage, mentor, and train junior staff members.
Identify and establish new internal processes where applicable.
Identify project risks early and recommend corrective actions to improve performance.
Deliver and exceed defined company scorecard metrics.
Conduct site visits for information gathering purposes, as necessary.
Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering or Energy Engineering (with related knowledge and experience of mechanical systems and HVAC).
eQUEST and advanced Excel experience required.
NJ Pay for Performance (P4P) experience a plus
CEM Certification is a plus.
LEED Green Associate or AP is a plus
PMP Certification is a plus.
Understanding of building operations and systems for new and existing buildings including HVAC systems.
Experience with Energy Modeling, LEED Certification, Energy analysis and assessments/audits evaluations of energy conservation measures.
Experience with water efficiency, waste reduction and material flow assessments a plus.
Adaptability, resourcefulness, and the ability to apply knowledge to varying business situations is required.
Accomplished preparer of proposals, contracts, and technical reports including ECM’s and ROI analysis.
Possess a positive, adaptable, and solution-oriented attitude.
Availability to travel up to 25% of time.
3 or more years’ experience in project management and building systems and operations.
2 or more years’ experience in team leadership and/or mentoring junior staff members.
Experience with eQuest and AutoCAD.
Knowledge of the following areas: mechanical systems (HVAC, compressed air, boilers, material handling); energy modeling, P4P, ASHRAE and ENERGY STAR. Knowledge and experience with manufacturing systems, material and Process Flow Analyses and waste water treatment would be a plus.
